PHY020
PHY020 is a wound dressing based on natural extracts intended to be used for veterinary wounds. It improves wound healing by acting as a physical barrier against desiccation and contamination of the wound. PHY020 supports healthy wound healing and improves the condition of the peri-wound skin. PHY020 acts as a repellent where no dressing is applied, which is often the case in the treatment of animal wounds.
Veterinary wounds are typically acute wounds and treated with an antiseptic or antibiotic cream. The common disadvantage of such creams is their slight cytotoxicity, which may delay the wound healing process. In contrast to human medicine, dressings are often not applied. The consequence is that insects and further microbes are attracted to the wound.
